Grade 6

Social Studies includes history, geography, economics, civics, peoples of the nation and world, social studies processes and skills. 
Sixth grade Social Studies is an introduction to Ancient World History. We will study Early Humans, Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, Ancient India, Ancient China, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, and the Middle Ages. Emphasis will be placed on achievements of each culture and how the civilization contributed to the eventual development of contemporary society. Hands-on activities, simulations and projects will be used extensively to develop student knowledge and skills.
